Fall Session runs as an 8-month Recreational program, or 10-month Competitive program. It gives gymnasts the opportunity to experience the sport of gymnastics during a longer time period. Take a look at our available classes and descriptions to find which one is best for you!

SPRING SESSION

May - June
Spring Session is an 8 week program for gymnasts who wish to do more gymnastics after the regular season has ended, and for new gymnasts wanting to do gymnastics without the longer Fall/Winter season commitment. Any competitive gymnasts who are going to be moving up to a higher level in the following year should attend Spring Session so that they can start getting ready for the upcoming season at their new level!

SUMMER CAMP

Summer Camp is the perfect way for your child to stay active in the summer months when there are no regularly scheduled gymnastics classes. Gymnasts will spend the day perfecting their gymnastics skills, conditioning, playing out-door games, water games and crafts... followed by more gymnastics!

Tiny Tots
Gender: Boys & Girls
Ages: 1.5 - 2.5 (at session start date)
Class Length: 45 mins
Come explore gymnastics with your child! Tiny Tots is an introductory program which encourages early movement exploration alongside a caregiver. With a parent or guardian actively participating on the floor, children are guided through circle time, simple activities that promote balance, coordination, and allows them to get comfortable in a group setting.

Kindergym (Co-Ed)
Gender: Boys & Girls
Ages: 4-5
Class Length: 45 mins
Kindergym is targeted for children ages 4 (who graduated from Kinder Tots) or age 5 (who are new to gymnastics). They are ready to be independent in the main gym, without a caregiver. This class is designed for girls & boys as an introduction to the basics of gymnastics in a fun, safe and disciplined environment. This active class introduces them to all of the equipment involved with artistic gymnastics in an age-appropriate fashion. Kindergym programming is based on individual assessment, with each child progressing through skills starting at CanGym Badge 1.

Recreational 3
Gender: Girls
Ages: 11+
Class Length: 2 hours
This class is best suited for girls aged 11-12 with little to no gymnastics experience. For gymnasts having completed Rec 2 and received a Rec 3 recommendation, it acts as the next step in gymnastics development. Skills will continue to be developed to improve flexibility, balance and strength, which will feed into more advanced skill development. Recreational 3 programming is based on individual assessment, with each child progressing through skills starting at CanGym Badge 4.

Pre-Competitive MIGHTY

Ages: 5-7
Class Length: 1 hour 30 minutes
This class is by invitation only and is intended for gymnasts coming from our Recreational 1 or Minis classes. It is designed to introduce the strength, skills and discipline needed for our competitive program. Our coaches emphasize quality, self-improvement, and hard work in a fun-filled structured class. Gymnasts will develop their strength, flexibility, body awareness and coordination on all four events, as well as show off their skills at two of our our in-house "Pre-Comp Cookie Comps."

IntraClub
Gender: Girls
Ages: 11+
Class Length: 3 hours
Intraclub is our internal competitive gymnastics program, with all competitions held in-house to provide a supportive and familiar environment for developing gymnasts. Gymnasts compete in two in-house events each season—one in December and one in April—at Bronze, Silver, or Gold level, as assigned by their coaches based on readiness and skill progression. Entry into the Intraclub program is by invitation, typically from our Pre-Competitive or Rec 3 programs. Additionally, multisport athletes may transition from our CCP (Competitive Program) into Intraclub to maintain their involvement in gymnastics without the overall demands and training commitment of CCP.

P1 Men's Competitive

Class Length: Varies by Level
This program is developed to assist in the progression from the Regional Stream to Provincial Stream.
The program puts an emphasis on having fun yet demands a commitment to working hard. As the gymnasts progress and higher levels are achieved, further competitions beyond the Regional Stream can be introduced. The Regional Stream includes beginner thru advanced and Provincial Stream includes Level 1-4 for men.

Tumbling Tots
Gender: Boys & Girls
Ages: 2.5 - 3.5 (at session start date)
Class Length: 45 mins
Tumbling Tots will start to introduce basic gymnastics movements. Building on early skills, this class continues with parent-assisted participation on the floor. Children are introduced to slightly more structured movement patterns, basic circuits and basic skill progressions, all while developing independence and confidence.

Recreational 1 (Co-Ed)
Gender: Boys & Girls
Ages: 6-8
Class Length: 1 hour
This class is designed for gymnasts with little or no experience in the sport. It introduces children to the basics of gymnastics in a fun, safe and disciplined environment. Skills will be developed to improve flexibility, balance and strength, which enhances skill development. Recreational 1 programming is based on individual assessment, with each child progressing through skills starting at CanGym Badge 2.

Boys Recreational
Gender: Boys
Ages: 8+
Class Length: 1 hour 30 minutes
This class is designed for male gymnasts 8+ with little or no experience in the sport. For boys having completed Rec 1 and received a Boys Rec recommendation, it serves as the next level in gymnastics development. Skills will be developed to improve flexibility, balance and strength, which enhances overall skill development. Boys Rec programming is based on individual assessment, with each child progressing through skills starting at CanGym Badge 3.

Pre-Competitive MASTERY

Gender: Girls
Ages: 6-8 & 9-11
Class Length: 2 hours
This class is by invitation only and is designed for older gymnasts from our Recreational or Mighties programs. This program runs twice a week, working on the quality skills, strength and flexibility necessary for competitive gymnastics the following year. Athletes compete at two in-house skills competition throughout the year, our "PreComp Cookie Comps." From here, athletes will be recommended to the provincial stream (CCP) or XCEL program depending on a combination of age and ability.

Boys Pre-Competitive

Class Length: 1 hour
This class is by invitation only and intended for boys coming from our Rec 1 or Minies programs. It is designed to introduce boys to the skills and discipline that is required for our competitive program. Our coaches emphasize quality, self-improvement, and hard work in a fun-filled structured class. Gymnasts will develop their strength, flexibility, body awareness and coordination on all six events, and will have the chance to show off their skills at two in-house "Pre-Comp Cookie Comps."

Kinder Tots
Gender: Boys & Girls
Ages: 3.5 - 4.5 (at session start date)
Class Length: 45 mins
At this stage, Kinder Tots participate more independently in a coach-led environment. Parents/guardians are required to remain on site but do not join on the floor, unless necessary for the child. Classes focus on basic gymnastics movements and gross motor movements, as well as on listening skills, following instructions through engaging, age-appropriate activities. Children from this group transition well into our Recreational KinderGym program.

Recreational 2
Gender: Girls
Ages: 9-10
Class Length: 1 hour 15 minutes
This class is best suited for girls between the ages of 9-10 with little to no experience in the sport. For gymnasts who have completed Rec 1 and received a Rec 2 recommendation, it acts as the next step in gymnastics development. Skills will be developed to improve flexibility, balance and strength, which enhances overall skill development. Recreational 2 programming is based on individual assessment, with each child progressing through skills starting at CanGym Badge 3.

Pre-Competitive MINI

Ages: 4-6
Class Length: 1 hour
This class is by invitation only and is designed to introduce girls to the skills and discipline that is required for our competitive program. Our coaches emphasize quality, self-improvement, and hard work in a fun-filled structured class. Gymnasts will develop their strength, flexibility, body awareness and coordination on all four events; just watch their confidence grow! They will also get to participate in two skill based in-house “Pre-Comp Cookie Comps” throughout the year where they will get to showcase to parents/caregivers the skills they have learned .

CCP 2-6 Women's Competitive
(Developmental Program)

Class Length: Varies by Level
This program is developed to assist in the progression through the Canada wide Junior Olympic Program. Our program puts an emphasis on having fun yet demands a commitment to working hard. Gymnasts will be required to compete at a minimum of three competitions per year and coaches & competition scores will determine the level the gymnast will be eligible to compete in. As the gymnast’s progress and higher levels are achieved, further training and competitions will be introduced.

Boys Pre-P1

Ages: 6-10
Class Length: 2 hours
Pre-P1 is an introduction to boys competitive gymnastics. Athletes will compete routines on all six events at our in-house competition and may be invited to compete at 1-2 local competitions if they are physically and mentally ready. The purpose of this program is to have boys ready for the provincial stream program in 1-2 years. Completion of Boys Pre-Competitive or invitation is required.
